From the artistry of Akwete to the symbolism found within traditional Igbo visual culture, our heritage provides a starting point. From there, our curiosity extends across the continent.

We want to discover the textiles, craftsmanship, symbols, colours and stories that make African cultures unique and translate them into fashion that feels relevant today.

Because being authentically African does not mean being stuck in the past.

It means knowing where you come from while confidently expressing where you are going.

At AT Design, we are interested in the conversation between heritage and modernity. What happens when an old textile meets a contemporary silhouette?
